Adorn and beautify the head is the great desideratum of all polite female soc'v-ty, and yet no art can equal the magnificent beauty of a long and luxuriant grow th of silken tresses gracefully entwined around an alabaster neck. Many ladies’ hair falls out so rapidly at each combing, and becomes so short and thin that they can’t support curls, nor a “club. ’ wthout the aid of “dead hair, ’at an enormous expense, and shorn perhaps from some diseased scalp. We will toll you how to stop your hair from falling out at once; how to make it grow long and rapidly; how to cleanse your scalp from, all dandruff; liow to gyve your hail a beautiful, glossy appearance without the use of oil, greese or anything poison-ous or the least injurious; but on the contrary, it cools the head, and is one of the most delightfully perfumed hair dressing!- you ever used. Money and we will do all the above, under contract, or make no charge. Gentle men who have been so unfortunate as to lose Iheir hair and become bald-headed can by the use of the same article, create a growth of new hair all over the bald spot; or in other words, we propose to coyer over all bald heads with their own hair, under contract, or no charge made. It will also giye a new growth to whiskers and moustache, and imparts life, beauty and elegance to the hair and whiskers. This article acts directly upon the hair follicles and bulbs, penetrating, stimu-lating and arousing their dormant energies lo action, thus imparting a new life and new growth to the hair germs. First Madhar bahib squatted down before the Prince of Wales, says Dr. Russell in the London Times, and put down a small basket on the carpet about the size of those in which a lady would carry Berlin -wool. It was empty, of course. Madha Sahib was almost undressed—his arms were quite bare. He turned his basket down and chatted at it, then turned it over, and lo! there was an egg on the carpet, which was handed round to be looked at. Then he put the basket over the egg and chatted at it again, turned it over, and lo ! out walked a pretty pigeon, so tame that it let itself be caught by hand. Next Madhar produced another egg from beneath the basket, and then placed it under the basket—any one could see that tiie latter was a thin, frail composition, without cover or false bottom. Then, after incanta-tions, he raised the basket and out strutted tbe first pigeon, and anoth-er exactly like it, and went pouting over to the spectators. Other things did Madhar Sahib, but none so striking, for peas under a thimble have before now exercised the finest intellects and baffled the greatest intelligence in England. Poolee, who come next, I think, was a per-former of extraordinary merit. Af-ter some tricks of no great novelty, but executed with much neatness,he converted himself into a magazine of horrors ; to live scorpions, which he handled with impunity, out of his mouth; spat out stones as large as plums one after the other, or showed them between his lips and swallowed them ; then evolved from depths unknown a carpenter’s shop, full of nails, large and small, and coils of string, till there was a pile of his products before the Prince. The Milwaukee Commercial Times, of Jan. 20, contains this astonishing statement: “Mr. Cliff Wilson exhibit ed at the Commercial Times this morn-ing a rare curiosity. It was the skull of an Aztec, lately found in Waukesha. Evidence is adduced; proving beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt, that the former inhabitants of our western suburb were of that singular race whose labors exist only in Arizona. The most singular thing about the skull was a glass eye which yet re-mains firm in ihe socket, whichgoes to show that the former inhabitants of Waukesha were cultivated and en-lightened people. The attention of Dr. Wight and savans is called to this singular specimen. Mr. Thurston should present this rare specimen to the Natural History Society.” An in-teresting question for the gentlemen will be how the eye came to be re-tained so firmly in the skull after the flesh had decayed and left it. Or did our Aztec friend get his glass eye when a boy, and his skull grow around t, as we sometimes see a tree grow around a rock or other foreign sub-lance ?
