Summary	Weldon Hill was a member of the Waco Fire Department, beginning in 1953; birth and childhood in Waco, Texas; buying a service station with a friend and meeting his wife; work at the Cameron mill then offer from father-in-law to join the fire department; veterans having priority when applying for jobs; witnessing the tornado of 1953; father-in-law’s role at the fire department; having to gain weight to pass the physical exam; bus collision on Interstate 35; passing his test and going to work at the number two station; experiences of his first fire; being moved to the number three station; working with Pete Wilkins; wanting to drive the machine and recollections of his first run; Waco boundaries; types of machines used; heart troubles being common in fire fighters; recollections of a particular run during rush hour morning traffic;
