Summary	Ola Mae Thompson worked in domestic services in the Waco area since 1948; childhood in Corsicana, Texas; childhood pass-times; discussions of influential women in her life; growing up in a single-parent home during segregation and the Great Depression; discussing the important role of the church in social reform; raising five children – two of which belonged to her sister, who died in the Waco tornado in 1953; traveling during segregation; expressing general support for various civil rights leaders; expressing delight at the improvements for women since the women’s rights movement and commenting on Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill in conjunction; expressing dissatisfaction with government programs; traveling to Waxahachie as a child.
