OSWALD OR LOVELADY
Of the John Kennedy a s s a s s i n a t i o n pictures I have seen, the one which, in vxy opinion,
has so many crazy a l l e g a t i o n s is the f i f t h picture taken by Associated Press photographer
James Altgens. The crazy part is that some people s t i l l cling to the idea
t h a t i t r e a l l y i s B i l l y Nolan Lovelady wearing his striped tP-shirt in the TSBD doorway.
In l i g h t of the below f a c t s , t r u s t i n g Lovelady's honesty, I cannot see how,
l o c i c a l l y speaking, i t can be Lovelady in the doorway.
1. A look at the figure in the doorway will show \/ithout a doubt that the person
i s wearing a long-sleeved shirt, v/e nov/ junp ahead in time to the police photographs
taken of Lovelady on Feb. 29, 196i+, supposedly showing the shirt which
Lovelady vrore when he was captured on film while in the TSBD doorway on Nov.
22 of that last year. It, quite obviously, is short sleeved. (Note: In future,
I will refer to the person in the TSBD doonvay as 0-L, for Oswald-Love lady. )
2. The 0-L s h i r t . It appears to be a gra^'"ish-white and black mixture of colors.*"
Nowhere i s i t possible to see anj"- stripes. We now again go to the Feb., 1964
pictures of Lovelady (which will be called the L-lady photos fror^ here on in).
Despite the fact that Lovelady was put into both dark'and light settings, stripes
are s t i l l clearlj'' visible. Again, note that no gray-white and^black t i n ts
exist anywhere. Both the Hughes film and a CBS re-creation film, which, incidentally,
had Lovelady positioned in the doorway, show a shirt that looks
orange on the 0-L figure. But if i t i s , then Lovelady lied about the shirt he
wore. Why?
3. On the Oswald arrest photo, i t is seen that manj"" buttons are missing on the
s h i r t . On 0-L, the shirt appears to be opened the sane amount. It is impossible
to t e l l if the buttons are on the shirt or not. «
4. 0-L's shirt collar is quite ruffled, more noticeable the right one. (His right.)
A look at the L-lady photos shows that the co]J.ar i s quite tidy and, in the event
that it would be scuffed up ( i . e . in the gust of wind at that moment), i t would
probably not look like the scraggly 0-L's s h i r t . Now, compare the 0-L shirt
with the Oswald arrest photo. The fdght collar is virtually identical.
5. The 0-L figure appears to be holding his right iirrist with his left hand. From
experience, I can say that this sort of thing is often a nervous habit which
one cannot help but do. Now, look again at the Oswald arrest photo and you
will clearly see the left hand on the right wrist. Nervous habit or exceptional
coincidence?
6. Looking at 0-L's face will show sort of a "shadow" from the nose down. This,
in a l l likelihood, will be either shadow or else ne\i growth. It seems improbable
that this would be a shadow, seeing as the lines of "shadow" are very
/ defined and the T-shirt which the figure appears to be wearing has not been
darkened by any shadow. Thirdly, i t is a veiy small shadow. Thus, i t would
seem to be that a defined shadow which covers a very small area i s out of the
question. Now, new growth'is taken into consideration. Keep in mind that
Oswald left his home early that morning, not having time to shave. T'/^hTi«.« A'^ —
